When Do You Need a Pink Slip?

In Queensland, it's a legal requirement that all vehicles must have a current roadworthy certificate—aka Pink Slip—before they can be sold. An RWC is only issued once a vehicle has passed a safety inspection, carried out by an authorised inspector.

At Advanced Auto Electrics & Mechanical, we are an authorised inspection station, meaning we can carry out RWCs for all types of vehicles.

We can also provide you with a quote for any repairs that may be needed to get your vehicle up to scratch.

To book a roadworthy inspection, give us a call on
(07) 4061 1998 or drop into our workshop at 59 Grace Street. Based in Innisfail, we also service Mission Beach, Babinda and Tully.

How A Roadworthy Inspection Works

The inspection covers a range of items on the vehicle, including:

  • Tyres & wheels
  • Brakes
  • Steering & suspension
  • Lights & reflectors
  • Windscreen wipers & washers
  • Body rust & damage
  • Seats & seatbelts

If your vehicle fails its roadworthy inspection, don't despair! We can carry out any repairs that are needed to bring it up to standard. This may be as simple as replacing the wiper blades or something a little more complex. Once the repairs are complete, we'll re-inspect the vehicle and issue an RWC when it passes.
